The Challenge

Sun Coast Resources felt that its web presence did not reflect its level of brand recognition and impressive market presence, and approached Amuse to conduct a complete website overhaul and brand repositioning. The dated copy, visuals, and technologies were all open for a refresh, but the logo had to remain. The challenge was in devising a contemporary brand strategy and experience while embracing a legacy logo.

Amuse seized the opportunity to create the new, responsive site in accordance with a revitalized SEO strategy to place the company back at the top of industry search results. Sun Coast Resources’ suite of products required an informed explanation and visual context clues, so the site was designed for maximum readability.

Clear, concise, and catchy headlines segment the content, while custom iconography and large, video hero banners lend an immersive field of visual understanding to augment the copy.

Typography & Color

The typography and color used in the refreshed branding needed to reflect the balance between a logo designed in the 80s and a company quickly moving toward its future.

With a clean, modern, masculine color palette and typography, we maintained a connection with the company’s long history and their vision for growth. 

Iconography

While Sun Coast Resources was better known for a few areas of service and delivery, it was growing, and strategic parts of the business needed to be showcased and made accessible.

We created a custom icon system that extended beyond the website to ensure brand consistency. The icons were versatile enough to be used in all Sun Coast marketing and branding materials, increasing brand recognition and consistency internally and externally.
